3. Possible topics for the projects:
* Speech processing techniques, e.g. the technique used for coding speech in wireless communication is so called
code-excited linear predictive coding, also known as CELP http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CELP
* Image processing techniques, e.g the JPEG standard for compressing the images, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JPEG
* Communication signal processing, e.g. different equalization schemes in different systems like CDMA, OFDM, SC-FDM etc.
* Positioning and localizaiton techniques, e.g. GPS/Beidou positioning systems, particle filtering for indoor positioning etc.
4. Deliverables:
* project report [in PDF format, when you work on it, you can use either WORD or LaTeX]
* codes for the project [e.g. Matlab files, figures etc.]
