Principle Investigator

Yumeng Yang (杨雨梦)
Yumeng received B.Sc. degree in Materials Science from Sichuan University in 2011. After that, he had a short internship in Prof. Huaqiang Wu's group at the Institute of Microelectronics, Tsinghua University. From 2012 to 2016, he pursued Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at National University of Singapore under the supervision of Prof. Yihong Wu and Principal Scientist Dr. Kui Yao from Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). He was the recipient of President’s Graduate Fellowship during 2014 to 2016. He is currently an assistant professor in the School of Information Science and Technology at ShanghaiTech University.

PhD Students


Yijun Qian (钱益军)

Yijun received his B.S.degree of Microelectronics Science and Engineering from China Jiliang University. And he joined shanghaitech University in Summer 2020 for further study on semiconductor device characterization and modeling.






Bin Rong (荣滨)

Bin graduated from Xidian University as a Bachelor in microelectronics science and engineering in 2021 and then joined the Spin InfoTech Lab. His research interests include experiments and simulations about spintronics devices, especially magnetic random-access memory (MRAM). His hobbies include playing Chinese chess, climbing mountains, playing SLG (such as civ5) and so on. His dream is to use knowledge to make the world more reasonable (even a little bit). Good luck to him and wish him to become good friends with Bi Bo in the new year.

Master Students


Jialun Yao (姚佳伦)

Jialun got a bachelor degree in Electric Engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2020 before joining the Spin InfoTech Lab. He is now associatively educated by ShanghaiTech University and Huahong Group for a master degree. His studying direction is advanced memory technology.







Yanghui Liu (刘阳辉)

Yanghui received B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation from Hainan University in 2019. He is currently a master student in the School of Information Science and Technology at ShanghaiTech University. His research interest is Neuromophic computing based on spintronics devices. He likes playing basketball, travelling and singing. In 2018, He served as a volunteer of Boao Forum for Asia and he was responsible for receiving foreign guests and preparing for the welcoming dinner.


Yaqi Rong (荣雅琪)

Yaqi received her B. S. degree of Electronic Information Engineering from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications. She joins ShanghaiTech University in 2021. She is interested in ferromagnetic resonance (FMR). She loves dancing and other literary and art activities.


Xiaoyang Li (李晓扬)

Xiaoyang graduated from ShanghaiTech University as a Bachelor in Chemistry in 2022. At the same year she joined the Spin InfoTech Lab for study on spintronics devices, especially based on voltage controlled magnetic anisotropy effect. She enjoys swimming and reading, and recently spends time on rhyme with little gain.


Haoze Wei (魏昊泽)

Haoze received his B.S. degree in Microelectronic Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2021, and joined Shanghaitech University in 2022 to pursue advanced studies in microelectronic device fabrication and characteristic research. He likes playing basketball and singing. He is committed to becoming a tech otaku contributing to the technological innovation in the future.


Hongsheng Zheng (郑洪生)

Graduated from Shenzhen University as a Bachelor in Renewable Energy Science and Engineering in 2022. I am interested in spintronic device. And my hobbies include badminton, cycling and playing games (like Genshin).


Tianhan Fei (费天涵)

Graduated from Hohai University as a Bachelor in Computer Science and Technology in 2023. And joined ShanghaiTech University in the same year. Interested in learning Physics to understand the universe and designing algorithms to solve problems.


Chuang Man (满闯)

Chuang Man graduated from ShanghaiTech University with a bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering in 2023. In the same year, he joined the Spin InfoTech Lab to continue his studies and research on electronic devices. He is interested in musical instruments and also enjoys travelling and games. He believes that "tech otakus save the world".

Undergradute Students


Bi Bo (匕卜)

Bi Bo is a passionate undergraduate in SIT Lab. He is a hardworking, relentless robot without emotion. He is interested in precise location techniques based on the development of advanced hardware sensors and intelligent mapping and route planning algorithms. Wish him success!


Yunqin Hou (侯云骎)

Yunqin is an undergraduate student of 2024, majoring in Electrical Engineering of ShanghaiTech. He is Interested in microelectronic devices and chose spintronic device as the main learning and studying direction. Recently he is trying to reproduce one kind of low noise amplifier.


Jiawei Zhang (张佳炜)

Jiawei is an undergraduate student from ShanghaiTech University in Electrical Engineering in 2020. He joined the Spin InfoTech Lab, and studied on spin torque nano-oscillators. He loves photography and badminton.
